Second, ArchiCAD 9 significantly improved capabilities. While earlier versions had rudimentary networking, version 9 introduced a more robust system of “reservation” and “send & receive” commands. Multiple architects could work on the same building model simultaneously, reserving specific elements or zones. This reduced file corruption and version conflicts, making large-scale collaborative projects feasible for the first time on a standard office network.
In retrospect, ArchiCAD 9 Full Version was not just a piece of software; it was a coherent vision of the future of architectural practice. It demonstrated that technology could enhance, rather than hinder, creative design. For a generation of architects, it was the first time they could truly “build twice”—once virtually, once physically—with efficiency and fidelity. While modern BIM tools have surpassed ArchiCAD 9 in power and scope, they all stand on the shoulders of this robust, innovative release. ArchiCAD 9 remains a landmark in digital design history, a testament to the enduring value of thoughtful, integrated software engineering in the service of architecture. ArchiCad 9 Full version
ArchiCAD 9 introduced several features that distinguished it from both its predecessors and competing software. First and foremost was the refinement of the concept. Unlike 2D CAD, where plans, sections, and elevations were independent drawings, ArchiCAD 9’s model was a single, coherent database. Any change made in the floor plan—moving a wall or resizing a window—automatically updated all views, including 3D renderings and schedules. This eliminated the tedious and error-prone process of manually coordinating drawings. Second, ArchiCAD 9 significantly improved capabilities
Did you know that audio levels can have an affect on external hardware and even plugins? Hardware (and some plugins) are designed for specific input levels - exceeding those levels can cause unwanted distortion and a loss of quality. James Wiltshire explains how K-Meter can be used to ensure proper levels.
I purchased your K-Meter beta, and I love it. I've tried every metering plug available, and I love yours the best. Great graphics, readability, ballistics, etc. All so well done. Thanks! Tom Third (tomthird.com)
This is the meter to use if you are serious about the K-System. It is accurate, easy to read, and contains tools for calibration. In addition, the interface is neat and collapses well if necessary. Dr. Heinrich Hohl
Just shouting out a big THANK YOU!!! for the K Meter plugin - I have been looking for a dedicated meter to use with logic without having to instigate 3 or more different plugins to monitor using the K -System. I have adopted the K system into my mixes for some time now and it vastly improves dynamics and clarity in digital land! I only hope the rest of the industry gets onboard! People would not be arguing ITB vs OTB Mixing if they all used your plugin! Timothy Kling (aka. Namatoke)
