In the realm of Indian cinema, cross-cultural collaborations and dubbed films have become increasingly common. One such phenomenon is the Tamil dubbed version of the 2017 Chinese-Indian action comedy film, "Kung Fu Yoga." Starring Jackie Chan, Dwayne Johnson, and Sonakshi Sinha, the film was initially released in Mandarin, Hindi, and English. However, its Tamil dubbed version, "Kung Fu Yoga Tamil Dubbed," surprisingly gained massive popularity, transcending linguistic and cultural boundaries.

"Kung Fu Yoga" was conceived as a pan-Asian project, with Chan and his production company, China Films, partnering with Indian producer Niddhi Prasad. The film's plot revolves around an archaeological professor (Chan) who teams up with a tough-as-nails cop (Johnson) to retrieve a stolen Indian relic. The movie's eclectic mix of action, comedy, and cultural exchange was intended to appeal to a broad audience.

"Kung Fu Yoga Tamil Dubbed" represents an unlikely triumph in the world of Tamil cinema. By embracing a cross-cultural production and cleverly adapting it for local tastes, the film's producers and distributors successfully tapped into the region's appetite for entertainment. As the Indian film industry continues to evolve, the popularity of "Kung Fu Yoga Tamil Dubbed" serves as a reminder of the power of dubbed films to bridge cultural divides and entertain diverse audiences.

IYTTIW sample set

IYTTIW stands for "If You Think This Is Weird". A very unique set based on original trumpet samples. Its diminutive size packs a big sound. Perfect on its own or for doubling other sounds. I played and recorded some trumpet and made samples from the performance. I then resynthesized the samples to alter their timbral and spectral quality. In some, you can still hear the trumpet and there are others where their origin is well hidden.

It was originally a commercial set that is now free. It contains 41 regular multi-sampled programs without velocity. All are short sounds, no pads here. It's very well-suited for staccato playing and sequencing.

It has 551 samples for a small size of 15.7 MB and is offered in the following formats: wav, sfz, soundfont, Native Instruments Kontakt 3.5 or better (full version, not the free Player).

All formats are in this single DOWNLOAD

Kontakt 3.5 version additionally has 21 multis and 50 instruments made with the Tone and Time machines that greatly expand its sound palette. These stretched instruments usually have longer durations than the basic samples, 14 of them with sustain.

Here's an audio example using a few samples with pitch randomization:  IYTTIW in QuadZamp
