Enter for Mac. This tiny utility doesn’t look like much at first glance, but don’t let the utilitarian interface fool you. It solves one of the most frustrating problems in video editing: stealing the exact color grade from any image. What does it actually do? In plain English: You feed it a "Source" image (your flat, log-format video frame) and a "Target" image (a cinematic still from a movie, a moody photo from Instagram, or a vintage Kodachrome scan). The app analyzes the color relationship between the two and spits out a 3D LUT (CUBE file) .

Rating: Essential for colorists. A curiosity for everyone else.
