She looked at the phone. The da.daagent had one final suggestion, auto-filling in the message bar:

Elena never turned her phone off again. She just watched the counter slowly, inevitably, tick down.

The door knock came. Three slow, deliberate raps.

But then her phone started finishing her sentences before she typed them.
