The mature mom has stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight, becoming one of the most complex, compelling, and commercially viable figures in entertainment.

This is the story of how she got there.

But the true game-changer arrived in 2015 with The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel ? No—with Grace and Frankie on Netflix.
